HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR
WAX APPOINTMENT
01.
New clients coming from shaving: hair must be at least the length of a grain of rice (about ¼ inch). We recommend pre-booking every 3 weeks for your first 3 waxes.

Returning clients: come back every 4-6 weeks for best results.

Exfoliate 2-3 times a week between waxes to prevent and treat ingrown hairs. This helps achieve a cleaner, smoother wax.

Apply moisturizer daily after your shower. Lock in hydration with our Nu' SKYN Oil-a sample is gifted to all first-time guests. Full-size bottles are available in the studio and online.

Please avoid shaving between waxes. It disrupts the growth cycle, causes ingrowns, and can make hair grow back coarser.
05.
Wear loose fitting clothing to your appointment to prevent irritation and help your skin breathe post wax. Arrive a few minute early to settle in and to go over a skin analysis.

Let us know if you're using any retinoids, antibiotics, or ache treatments, as these can make skin more sensitive or prone to lifting. Avoid waxing if you're sunburned or recently tanned.

Come with clean, product-free skin (no oils, lotions, or deodorant on the area to be waxed).

You can still wax during your cycle, but you may feel more sensitive. If you're menstruating, please wear a tampon or cup. Let us know if you'd prefer to reschedule.

If you're sensitive to pain, consider taking an over-the-counter pain reliever (like ibuprofen) about 30 minutes before your appointment.

APPOINTMENTS
Prior to booking waxing services, wait at least 2-3 weeks for hair to grow in after shaving or until hair is the length of a grain of rice. For brow enhancement services, clients must arrive with clean, makeup free brows.
PAYMENT
We accept cash, credit & debit cards, Apple Pay & Android Pay.
LATE ARRIVALS
A late arrival of 15-minute or more will result in a cancellation. Your appointment will have to be rescheduled unless you’ve contacted us prior.
CANCELLATIONS/NO-SHOWS
For cancellations/reschedules, we require a minimum of 24 hours notice. After two or more late cancellations and no-shows clients will no longer be eligible to pre-book appointments. Instead, future services will be offered on a walk-in basis only, subject to availability.

Driven by a passion for Esthetics, educating and helping clients feel more beautiful in their own skin, she launched Nu’ SKYN Aesthetics to provide personalized, quality beauty services.
Outside of her work, she enjoys spending time with her family, self-care (of course!) and drawing inspiration from the beauty in everyday life.
